Vallda reaches 26th place in opening year

01 Dec 2009

The Club entered the Swedish Golf Digest’s best course ranking on a 26th place which is quite impressive considering the course only opened all 18 holes in August 2009 and that the course clearly showed signs of being new as well as not having a club house yet. The Club is planning to have the official grand opening in 2010.

Toronto nearly finished

23 Nov 2009

A 4.5 months intensive works programme has substantially completed the Colt Course (1911) of the Toronto Golf Club (1876). 90 bunkers have been rebuilt to create a modern interpretation of the Colt style, either replacing existing ones that had changed during the course of 85 years, or, developing new bunkers. All tees have been rebuilt and drained, and completely new irrigation system installed to better serve the requirements of the new fescue roughs. Several greens have been extended, and two greens were repositioned employing only hand work in the process. The Colt Course is scheduled to re-open May 2010.
